Paj Ntaub Circles

Learn how to make different types of paj ntaub or HMong “flower cloth.”

Paj Ntaub Circles are led by elder artisan Lu Lee and textile artist Pachia Lucy Vang. Recreating the circular bonds that exist between mothers and daughters when passing on paj ntaub, these communal gatherings provide supportive environments to learn about paj ntaub through hands-on practice and intergenerational conversations. 

Join us as we learn how to make Embroidery (January to February), Appliqué (March to April), Reverse-Appliqué (May to June), and Batik (July to August). Each session will consist of a short demonstration followed by an open studio. Your participation helps to shape what we learn together. We encourage you to bring your own projects, knowledge, and stories to share.
